  • William Albritton


    William opened CrossFit Alexandria because he is passionate about helping others live a fulfilled life. The programs he has helped develop at CrossFit Alexandria have helped people to reach their full potential not only in fitness, but also every other area of their life.

    His mission as a coach and business owner is to motivate individuals to make a life-long commitment to fitness and to work every day at bettering themselves as individuals. “The welcoming and encouraging community at CrossFit Alexandria makes us all want to be better family members, friends, bosses, employees, coaches and athletes.”

    Nutrition has a profound effect on body composition, energy levels, sleep quality, mental attitude and quality of life. William’s passion for providing healthy choices to America has led him to start various business ventures in the health industry, including My Fit Food restaurants throughout Los Angeles and Phoenix.

    He also consults for several leaders in the fitness industry including the #1 Fitness Podcast in the world.

    Prior to delving full-time into strength, conditioning and nutrition, William practiced as a professional engineer for nearly 10 years. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from LSU and an MBA from Tulane.

    In William’s “former life” as an endurance athlete and adventurer, he has run 12 marathons including New York, Chicago, Marine Corps and Pike’s Peak – deemed by many as the most difficult in the world. He has swum across the Mississippi River, run a couple of ultras, held a 1,000-day running streak and rode a bull named The Hurricane lasting 2.7 seconds.

    William enjoys spending time with his wife and their two dogs, his family, friends, and church.

  • Lance Lopez

    Co-Founder, CrossFit Coach, Endurance Coach

    Lance is a Level 1 CrossFit instructor with certifications in CrossFit Endurance as well as CrossFit Kids. He is a founder of CrossFit Alexandria. Lance is committed to living a healthy lifestyle and passionate about teaching others the skills and disciplines needed to achieve the same. Lance is confident in CrossFit’s ability to make positive, lasting changes in the lives of its members.

    He believes in achieving total fitness through regular, challenging exercise, proper nutrition, and adequate rest. Lance also knows that the camaraderie established in the gym not only keeps the fitness challenges fun but also makes lifelong friends who support one another and keep each other accountable.

    Lance’s enthusiasm for running, cycling, and swimming makes him the perfect Head Coach of CrossFit Alexandria’s Geaux Endurance division. Competing in several 5Ks, 10Ks, marathons, adventure races, triathlons, etc. has given Lance the much-needed first-hand experience to train his members for a wide-variety of endurance sports. Lance (and his PR’s) testify that training quality over quantity is the better approach to endurance training. Using CrossFit philosophies as a foundation for both short and long distance training have proven extremely effective for the endurance team members.

    After starting a family with his wife, Laurie, Lance became motivated to delve into the world of kid’s fitness and nutrition. Understanding that it’s never too early to introduce healthy habits has fueled Lance’s desire to develop a CrossFit Kids division of CrossFit Alexandria. Lance is taking on the task of bringing up a healthier generation and putting children back on track for healthy lives.

  • Mark Fuseliar

    Coach, Facility Manager

    Mark (aka Fuse) says, “There is always room for improvement, and no one is perfect.” “I just want to change the lives of people, and show that it is never too late to make a change in one’s life.”

    Fuse has always had a passion for helping others. He believes that one’s personal fitness can have huge benefits to their personal life and in some instances, can be a lifesaver. “What we do in CrossFit carries over into everyday life”.

    Being one of the few Certified Level 2 CrossFit Coaches in the state, Mark is sure to drop knowledge bombs about technique and planning a workout. He has an eye for catching limitations in mobility and correcting faulty technique. Mark says his philosophy is to fix movements by starting at the root of the problem and working your way up.

    If you’ve ever met Mark, you know he is super outgoing and friendly, but he’s also detail oriented and involved in our athletes’ progress — so much so that he always remembers each member’s personal benchmarks. With his tremendous talents, he is an integral part of our coaching team.

    Before CrossFit and after studying Marketing and Finance at the University of Texas at El Paso, where he was a Division I pole vaulter, he worked as a merchant banker in New York City. He also spent his spare time before CrossFit as a rock climbing instructor and became a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

    Along with being a full-time coach at CrossFit Alexandria, he is also on the Board of Directors for The American Weightlifting Federation(AWF). As the youngest member, he is someone with a fresh new outlook on weightlifting and CrossFit. In the Spring, he spends his extra time as a High School Track and Field Coach.

  • Shelly Travis

    CrossFit Coach, Nutrition Guru, New Member Coordinator

    Shelly is a passionate advocate for healthy living and personal fitness. She is dedicated to helping others achieve their lifetime goals through nutrition, motivation, inspiration, education and hard work. Shelly ensures every client receives dedication to their health, wellbeing, and personal goals. She has a singular focus on motivating clients to future success: making healthy, sustainable life changes that enable clients to not only live well but also confidently and happily.

    Her goal is to help clients transform their life by integrating diet and exercise into daily living. Shelly says, “Life happens beyond the gym and I want to help others encounter the good life.”

    Shelly is owner and operator of Blue Apple, a nutrition coaching company that helps people make lasting nutrition and lifestyle changes.   • Alan Fontenot


    Alan says, “I love helping others see their potential for changing their lives and then working to achieve their goals. There is no better feeling than watching someone’s face light up when they get that first pull-up, muscle-up, box jump, or finish a race that they thought would never happen!”

    Being active in athletics has always been important in his life. Alan says, “Basketball quickly became my passion and I played from a very early age through college. After college, I began teaching at a high school where I coached basketball and tennis.”

    Alan enjoys competing in road races and triathlons. He’s competed in numerous 5Ks and 10Ks, several half marathons, triathlons, a 70.3 Ironman triathlon, a marathon, the CrossFit Open, and local CrossFit competitions. Alan’s expertise lead him to serve as Head Judge for the Battle of the Fittest, and as a judge at the Central Regional for the CrossFit Games.

    During the day, you can find Alan teaching at a local high school. He says, “My afternoons and evenings are spent training, coaching at CrossFit, or playing with and coaching my three children: Karleigh, Clark, and Brody. My love of CrossFit and racing has spilled over to them as each competes in running races, CrossFit Kids, other sports, and kids’ triathlons.”

  • Roger Herrington


    Roger is a natural coach and motivator, and when it came to CrossFit he “…wanted to start coaching the minute I discovered it. I’m a coach by trade so it made perfect sense. I wanted to coach the sport where the person finishing last is getting pushed the most — how cool is that!?”

    Roger is a former high school football coach who takes pride in his ability to motivate and lead a group. He has a winning record of 80%, and he draws from his experiences to bring his A-game to CrossFit Alexandria.

    Roger says, “There’s no place like a CrossFit gym. Many fitness gyms try and duplicate what we do. It’s not the same and will never be the same! What we have is special. There was a deep passion hidden somewhere in someone’s heart that started CrossFit Alexandria…you can’t copy that!”

    Roger has had phenomenal success training with the CrossFit methods. When he first walked into CrossFit Alexandria, he was extremely overweight (in his own words) and out of shape. Being a Type I Diabetic, he couldn’t afford to let his health decline any further. Within a year of starting CrossFit Alexandria, he lost almost 100 pounds, reduced his daily insulin intake by more than half and ran a half-marathon!

    It’s been over 5 years since he walked into CrossFit Alexandria. Today, he’s one of the most encouraging and motivational people you’ll ever meet!

  • Erin Settles


    Erin joins CrossFit Alexandria’s fantastic coaching team with her CrossFit L-1 certification and a B.S. in Exercise Science. She has a passion for helping other reach their full potential through fitness.

    As she was graduated from college, she was also searching for a new competitive outlet. She found CrossFit Alexandria and started the intern program in 2014.

    CrossFit has become an integral part of her lifestyle and as a coach, she strives to help others reach their lifestyle goals and live long, healthy, happy lives.
